At 'Tulach Uisce' today(25th October 2022), where the name Tuilsce/Tulsk comes from. Tulach Uisce means literally 'Mound of Water'. It was springing up heavily today, from its underground source (not surprising from all the rain!). The spring and mound - beside the Rathcroghan Visitor Centre - is at the site of the old medieval Tulsk Castle. It was obviously an easy water source for its former residents! It's also a nice reminder that though Tulsk is always changing, some things remain exactly the same. Please click here to see the video.
